Sharnae and Dale live a humble life with their two boys in a quiet beautiful little home. After years together, building their lives they finally decided to get married. Sharnae beautifully bringing her vision to life. These two compliment each other so well, balancing each other out and bringing an authentic joy to everyone who surrounds them. After documenting their wedding, and being a part of weddings within their friend group... these two feel like family.
For personal reasons, moments with Sharnae & her Dad were especially important. The emotions were high. To ensure the feeling was captured as authentically as possible, we built a deep connection with Sharnae's dad. He felt completely at ease with us nearby. The moments are about as real as it gets.
Sharnae picked the beautiful Glenfyne in Drouin, VIC. The lushes greens mixed in perfectly with her choice to have guests in all black with the only pop of colour coming from her bridesmaids and florals. And felt elegant and timeless but with a hint of modern pop. The ceremony was run by celebrant Hayley... you can see her wedding by clicking the link below.
Sharnae and Dale's wedding was mostly documentative, but Sharnae opted for a touch of editorial including a boudoir shoot. The approach with Dale was less posed to keep him comfortable and confident. We opted to compose the scene and allow a more authentic feeling to come forward.
The day was perfect! Stunning location, beautiful weather, and an amazing atmosphere. The minimalist approach to styling was perfectly complimentary to the venue choice.
These two struck a beautiful balance between editorial style portraits and authentic real moments. Sharnae really nailed the styling! Hat's off to her for organising the details that pulled this wedding together and allowed space for guests to be themselves while surrounded by beauty.
Being a hairdresser, Sharnae wanted to incorporate an element into her wedding. So she tied it in with something deeply meaningful to her. I mentioned earlier how important moments with Dad were. Just months prior we had done a family photoshoot with Sharnae's family including her mum. Shortly after, her mum unfortunately passed away. Along with the cut, Sharnae did a dress change to a mini that incorporated elements of her mother's wedding dress. It was fun yet deeply meaningful! A beautiful moment.
The sunset portraits were stunning!! And the night capped off with a wild celebration!
