Hayley and Adam have an energy to them that is just so infectious. Their joy for life, and deep love for one another makes you want to cry with joy. With one of the greatest friend circles we have met, these two opted to spend a long weekend down at the incredible Eight Acres in Lakes Entrance. While there... they got married.
Champagne showers and drams of whiskey kickstarted the day's festivities. Interlaced with some subtle moments filled with deep emotions.
The bride and groom opting to go for elegant looks that lent into a more simple feel highlighting natural beauty and their infectious smiles.
The large bridal party did not disappoint! A reminder of how important it is to choose a good crew to surround you.
We honestly felt like part of the family at this wedding! A few weeks prior we had photographed Sharnae and Dale's wedding. A wedding that Hayley and Adam attended, and Hayley was actually the celebrant for! And a year prior we had photographed another of their friends weddings. Mingling at and documenting this wedding felt like a gathering with friends.
The ceremony was stunning! Seriously... you gotta check out Eight Acres if a destination by the coast is something that feels like you.
With most guests opting to stay at the onsite accomodation at Lakes Entrance. The wedding day felt like the continuation of a multi-day celebration. A bit like a camping trip swapping tents for rustic cottages and hikes for early morning summer dips in the pool, or trips to the stunning coastal areas that make up Lakes Entrance.
There were so many hidden little moments at this wedding. Ranging from tears to unfiltered joy. From the newly weds but also the guests. A real joy to document.
The weather was an absolute pearler! Reflecting the mood of the guests.. everyone knew the assignment & brought the energy.
We kept the portrait window pretty small on this one. Adam & Hayley opted to prioritise being with their guests, but they still wanted some portraits but for those portraits to feel genuine and authentic to them. Our role on the day was to make space for those moments to happen.
As the canape hour commenced the little moments became our focus. Because the couple opted to prioritise time with their guests, this little mingle moment resulted in some incredible moments that will forever draw the couple back into the feeling they had.
As sunset rolled in we took a 10 minute stroll curating an environment that allowed intimacy to build organically without feeling posed or pressured. This resulted in magic little moments. Oh! Almost forgot to mention... you can see more of this wedding on Ivory Tribe.
The speeches were incredible! God! We still feel the moments we captured. Truly a tribe that loved these to like blood.
The party element of this wedding was INSANE!! The couple kicking off festivities with a surprise performance. Hayley making her entrance and hitting the drums got the crowd hysterical! Kick ons went till the early hours for sure!
